Cave B Estate Winery

Cave B Estate Winery has been producing since 2001, and they are located in the middle of Washington State in Quincy, next door to the Gorge Amphitheatre, and overlooking the Upper Columbia River and Gorge. All of their grapes come from their own “Cave B Estate Vineyards” on the property, which includes over 100 acres of vineyards. The winery and vineyards are part of over 700 acres that comprise their property. They grow 18 different varietals in their estate vineyards, and their first vines were planted back in 1980, making them some of the older vines in the state. They produce over 4,500 cases annually.

Within the 1 ½ miles of vineyards stretching from the Columbia River to the West and farthest points East, they have up to a 45 difference in growing time, giving them micro-climate zones equaling what you find in the entire European climate, in just this one location. They are currently part of the Columbia Valley Appellation, but have submitted for a new AVA to be called “Ancient Lakes”, due to the uniqueness of their location, caused by ancient volcanic and ice age activity. All of their wines use fruit from their Cave B Estate Vineyards, and they market their wines under the Cave B Estate label, and SageCliffe100 label.

They have received some very prestigious ratings from the 2010 & 2011 Seattle Wine Awards.
